Beginner digital painting tutorial using Procreate from James Julier Youtuber.

There are a few goals for this painting:

• Creating space by using multiple layers to create a distinct layers in the landscape from background to foreground.
• Learning how to select appropriate brushes for painting rocks with algae, water, and reflections on them.
• Learning how to create a visual illusion of rocks beneath the surface in the foreground below the small river waterfall.
• Using brushes, brush techniques to paint water that is pooled, dripping, falling, and reflective in a forest canopy.

Even though this is a beginner landscape there were so many unique challenges that made this a stand alone tutorial. Thanks to James Julier for posting this beginner landscape tutorial on his YouTube channel.
